Okay, figured out how to transfer photos from phone to PC. Seems that the only way you can do it is to save the photo in an MMS and then open it in the PC suite and then saving the picture from there. There doesnt seem to be a simpler way to do it...

Is there any way to transfer the photos from the phone on to a PC? I installed the PC suite and driver but that only seems to let me transfer the texts and contacts...

Got this phone yesterday from the Virgin Media Shop for £9 and for that price it's fantastic! Even though it only has a VGA camera, it seems to perform well and is one of the cheapest camera phones(if not the cheapest) in the UK :) The WAP/GPRS seems to also work well as mobile internet sites take a reasonable time to load up. I am slightly disappointed that it only has about 2MB of memory to use, but its not bad for the price. This phone also has two games called "Chicken" and "UFO" and they are quite fun. Even though this phone has a CSTN screen it is quite clear and bright but is not as good as a TFT mobile screen.
This phone comes packaged in the smallest box I've ever seen a phone come in.
So if you're thinking about buying this, I suggest you do :)

Maggie, 11 Sep 2008Where is the USB port, I can't find it.The USB port is the same connector that is used by the charger. It is a micro-B type which is smaller than the standard USB port you will see on your computer.

Ok people... I got a very special question to you all. As you know Alcatel cares a lot about user feedback... and you have provided that plenty to them... and please keep doing that!

Now however I have something else for you, the future. I mean... what would you like to see in the future from our beloved Alcatel brand. I am asking you people to send me your suggestions for Alcatel and I will forward them directly to the Alcatel product development and design team. You can send me all sorts of suggestions. If you have great ideas for design... show me... if you have certain wishes for technical specifications please let me know... is there a feature you would like to see in the future, email it to me and maybe there will be a new model soon which will have it. You shall have to be realistic in your proposals though... asking for a 10 megapixel camera with 1080P HD recording for instance will not be considered serious and disregarded. Also... if you have a bright new idea which could be nice to add to a phone email it to me and it might end up being used one day.

Email all of your ideas and suggestions to my email un112@msn.com. Please use the subject "Alcatel Future Proposal".

Yes... there is always ways to remove a cover... BUT it is not meant to be removed... so doing that will void warranty. Also this phone has its usb port on the left side. If you want a memory card then buy the S621 which is a luxurious version of this phone with mp3, mpeg4 player, memory card slot, bluetooth, megapixel cam etc etc. For more info email me on un112@msn.com
