Got two, unfortunately :(
The first got stuck in a loop loading Android and only a factory reset would get it working again, clearing all data on it and the sd card as it was formatted as internal memory.
The second had to be replaced as the display became corrupted in the first five minutes of use.
Worse was to follow with Alcatel updating the default launcher with "Joy Launcher - live wallpaper", which removes useful features of the factory launcher, and substitutes them for an extremely annoying smiling mutant Octopus spider thing that hangs from a thread from the top of the home screen (no I'm not kidding), plus according to google play and several reviewers now contains advertising, but I removed it and disabled updates before seeing any ads myself because it was so infuriating. the new launcher seems to be aimed at, and possibly even written by two to five year old kids.

It looks like there are two memory options. 4GB, giga byts, of storage with 512MB, mega byts, of working RAM, random access memory. Or 8GB, giga byts, of storage with 1GB, giga byts, of RAM. If you think of storage as a book case where your books are stored. The bigger the storage, the books you can keep. RAM is like the table where you read you boos at. The more RAM you have the more books you can have open on the table at the any one time. The processor speed is in GHz, giga herts (billions of times per second). This determines how quickly things can be done.

Wow!, 19 Aug 2017512Mb of RAM wow! Not many Apps can be installed with that ... moreIt doesn't claim to have 4GB of RAM. RAM stands for Random Access Memory which is basically the speed of the operating system. 512mb is pretty slow by todays standards.
4GB is the size of the internal storage (including Android and pre-installed apps). Unless it has the capability to use USB storage there won't be a lot of room to store new apps.
The 4GB storage version has 512mb RAM
The 8GB storage version has 1GB RAM

Sugardaddy, 01 Aug 2017Built-in storage is 2GB, not 4GB. Too little for all todays apps.it has 4gb, just 2gb is used up by android.

I've got the 2MB version which is, occasionally, irritating; the 4MB would've been better.
But.... for 25 quid it's a useful piece of kit, and one which I'm not going to shed any tears over if I crash and b####r it up (as my previous phone!).

Got the one with 3mp camera, 512mb ram and 2gb memory. I love it for the most part, it' pretty fast and everything works like a charm, perfect phone for someone who doesn't need much. I have only one problem, not sure if it's faulty with my only or generally with this model.
The 3g signal is very often dropping to no bars at all, even tho for the most part it is decent. It's not too much of a problem, because it still has enough signal for people to call me and if it doesn't have good enough signal for quality call, it switches to 2g which is always full. It's just bothering me, even tho it doesn't give me any problems...

Both of it's cameras are pretty decent in normal light conditions, you can take a good picture or shoot a good video on a cloudy day. I love front flash. CONS: It only has 2 GB of internal storage, and its system apps waste about 1.6 GB. Just crazy. Of course, you can fix it a little by disabling some apps.
And something really important: There are two apps (weirdly, they're system apps), Facebook App Manager and Facebook blah blah, I don't remember and you just CAN'T uninstall them. They're really suspicious, so just clear their data every once in a while and it'll be fine. And about the storage problem, even if you disable apps, because of Android marshmallow, you can't move apps to your SD card.
Other than that, it's really good and I definitely suggest you to buy it.

Don't get this.
It's ok for a backup phone.
Recommend getting cm13 on this, alcatels os is ugly
the 8gb version might be ok, but 4gb is very bad, always running out of space, and i cant make the sd card work
