I still have an alternative idea about lags on phone.. You try to open the developer in settings,then open debug mode, go to drawing and you will find window animation scale, transition animation scale and animator duration scale...tap each of it and tap off all the three...then don't close the debug mode..just go directly to home screen...you will find difference from that lagging state of your c5 phones.

gellay, 24 Apr 2014i decided to buy alcatel pop c5.. i bought last april 21 b... moreTry rooting it sistah, root it by Kingo root,which will be installed in your pc. Then connect it by debug mode... and there it is,,,then use ram manager from play store,,,That could make it fast..

I have now this phone and I think this phone at first to be a great one. Then It lags so much that I want to torn it apart. But then, I decided to root this phone using Kingo root and now my phone works awesome.. Using Ram Manager, I can clean all running apps in the background,thus giving my phone a new look...Despite the lags that was so irritating I can rest assured my phone ot 5036d c5 was a great one..Try to root it by Kingo and you'll find it out what I am talking.. But still Alcatel for me was a great phone because I am a fan of it..

Just got my phone 5 minutes ago but I CAN'T start the phone! When I press the power button, the screen display white wording "Alcatel One Touch POP C5" and then went off and display the same word again then shut and display the same word again. This goes on and on and on. I don't know what is wrong. Need help!

This phone looks way too damn much like a Samsung. If Apple sues for things like this, then so should Samsung.

For all who want to root this mobile most easy way is with Mobogenie program install and connect mobile with, select usb debugging at mobile, after program will automatically install all drivers and click oneclick root after install Titanium backup for make sure your mobile is rooted and also program link2SD for u can manage and deleted all factory apps who are installed.

I just bought this phone four days ago. I find it a bit slow, but for it's price range, I can't complain. Back camera/flash brightness is quit impressive for an entry-level budget phone. Overall, a smartphone worth more expensive than it's actual price.
the only thing that bothers me is I find the screen to have some sort of "glare effect" whenever I play video files. I don't know if the problem is caused by the screen itself or the fact that I have two screen protectors installed. The first layer is the free "glossy" one that came with the unit, the second one is a "matt" one that I bought separately. Does anyone have the same problem even without a screen protector?

This is good enough comparative with Samsung mobile having same features.
To speed up erase unnecessary apps first and use 16/32 gb memory card.

Hi there! my grandmother bought me this phone a few months ago as a birthday gift at first it was very fast but as time went by it became slower like when I open contact,phone, or messaging it take 5 seconds to open but now I rooted my phone and voila! It became very fast apps take about I think 2 seconds I really love it now.

got mine from smart plan 500 from the ph. its not the fastest phone out there. some apps are not functional like the dmd panorama. antutu yielded a little greater than 10000. also, phone is a little heavy.

I buy this mobile today with black blue color and i love it, its very fast at net,loud sound good touch screen, photos and videos are clear, with gaming not show any force closes and i recommend this mobile to everyone, so happy with this mobile, THANK YOU ALCATEL !!

the phone i had works fine for a while 2>3 weeks then the lcd screen starts flckering had it replaced with a new one and the same thing filckering lcd .
