The model for Sun is 5038e with boomband and its for new subscription. Alcatel is use to releasing phone with same name with different model and specs thats why its confusing. I dont know their purpose and objective?

Just got mine from Smart Plan 500... no Boomband also, the model is 5038A, the 8MP is just software interpolation...

Anonymous, 09 Sep 2014please clarify the rear cam, is it 5mp, or 8mp? Iam using an 8 megapixel back camera and 1.3 front. I got it from Sun Cellular. The model of my unit 5038e and not 5038d which is the 5 megapixel. Hope it answer your querries.

did you have the boomband when you get the phone? I was looking for the boombands to activate the application however it is not included in the package. I get my unit from Smart for plan 500. I want to know if you happen to get your unit from the same network provider. Do you have the boombands the bands?

AnonD-298464, 26 Aug 2014I am using alcatel pop d5 5038e for about 3 weeks and I am ... moremy brother got his white unit from SMART as a free handset for plan 500. it's single sim, 8mp cam. it has decent specs for its price and kitkat OS out of the box. so far he's liking it...(for now).

this phone is good i can tell folks,, both sim is 3g capable, this is one advantage,,it has IPS qHD with 4.5" screen display,, very handy,,
