All LG Optimus 2X across the UK finally getting Gingerbread

30 November, 2011

Good news for all Optimus 2X users in the UK. LG has just released the Gingerbread updated for its first dual-core smartphone. We guess that’s the price for being the first on the market – you get the software update last. Sorry about the sarcasm towards LG, we couldn't help it.

Anyway, every Optimus 2X user on the island can install the update right now. For more information on how to update, you may follow this link.

A few days ago, LG announced the Optimus 2X, alongside with the 3D, Black and LTE, will be getting the Ice Cream Sandwich treatment as well. The update schedule will be announced sometime in December.
