Amazon has also recently opened pre-orders for the shiny new fitness band/smartwatch for the same price as Samsung at $179. Of course, Amazon offers free Prime shipping. Amazon will ship the Gear Fit 2 this Friday, June 10.

The Gear Fit 2 features a vertically stacked 1.55 inch Super AMOLED screen and powered by a dual core 1GHz CPU. The Gear Fit 2 also has 4GB of internal storage and sports a heart rate monitor, GPS tracking, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and it is IP68 certified for water and dust resistance.
