Amazon Fresh grocery delivery service reportedly coming to UK

Himanshu, 18 July, 2015

Amazon is planning to launch its grocery-delivery service - called Amazon Fresh - in the UK, according to a new report. The launch is expected to happen this year, although it isn't clear exactly when.

The service - which allows you to purchase items on Amazon's website and have them shipped to your home either on the same or the next day - is currently available in the US, although only in a handful of markets including California, Seattle, New York, Philadelphia, and parts of New York.

It's worth mentioning that UK's grocery delivery market is more mature as compared to that in the US, with 5% of the total grocery sales being online in the former, while only 1% in the latter.
