Android 6.0-based CyanogenMod 13 nightlies now available for Galaxy Note II and Note 10.1

Himanshu, 09 May, 2016

Alternative Android OS developer Cyanogen has released the CyanogenMod 13 nightlies for the Samsung Galaxy Note II and the Galaxy Note 10.1. The builds brings Android 6.0 Marshmallow to these four-year-old devices.

An important thing worth mentioning here is that the CM-13 builds are only available for the Verizon version of the Galaxy Note 10.1, and the GSM-LTE, Sprint, as well as Verizon variants of the Galaxy Note II.

While most of you might already know, it's still worth stressing that nightlies aren't usually stable - you may encounter bugs. Also, installing them can not only result in a bricked device, but also void your handset's warranty, so only proceed if you know what you are doing.

S-pen features are lost on any non-touchwiz ROMs. Doesn't mean you cannot use the pen. It still works as basic stylus. It's just that the fancy things you can do with it are unique to touchwiz, thus you need to find a port of Touchwiz ROMs.
