Android M will have native support for visual voicemail

Stefan, 15 July, 2015

Android M will bring native support for visual voicemail to the platform. The convenient feature will be integrated into the dialer app of the OS.

The new functionality will be available via a separate tab in the Android M dialer. This will make accessing and managing voicemails quick and easy.

Visual voicemail on Android M will not work on all wireless carriers at launch. Initially, there will only be support for T-Mobile in the United States and Orange in France. Google’s own Project Fi virtual carrier is all but certain to offer the functionality as well.

"What even was that visual voicemail?" I'd have thought the concept was fairly self explanatory, really.
