Apple iOS 8 found to cause Bluetooth connectivity issues

01 October, 2014

It appears that Apple is yet to catch a break from iOS 8-related troubles. According to a new report, Bluetooth connectivity issues plague the Cupertino giant’s mobile OS.

The issue affects devices with iOS 8.0.2 as well. Users of iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus devices have hard time pairing them with car audio systems. A wide number of car brands are reportedly affected, including the likes of Mercedes, BMW, Hyundai, Ford, and Toyota.

Bluetooth issues are apparently not limited to cars only. Connectivity with wireless headphones and speakers is also affected.

Apple support is said to be aware of the problem. Some users have had temporary luck in fixing it by resetting all settings of their device. However, taking this step could result in loss of iCloud Drive documents.

As we know already, Apple is already hard at work on the next major update for iOS 8. Users with developer accounts who are already running iOS 8.1 report that the release takes care of the Bluetooth connectivity problems.
