Senn Lens, 11 Mar 2025My guess is Apple is reducing the costs by reducing one cor... moreI guess it is due to make the most of the remaining A16 productions. You know when chipset produced not all yields good results. Some outputs are expected and the rest are "least" expected. The "least" expected output doesnt necessarily mean they are bad or non functional. Theyre just performing less below the expected performance. You can google "SoC Binning" or "Chipset binning" for detailed info.

Relate that with Apple's conserving policies then it would be more make sense why they dont want simply put binned chips to trash. Just like what they did on binned A17 Pro inside Mini 7 iPad. By the way, A16 is currently producing out of TSMC's Arizona plan. Might be a slight tactical move by Apple amidst tariff's uncertainties nowadays.

              Totally similar to ipad 2022

Only the internal storage increased but put in your mind that the amount increased too,

              Apple unfortunately fool us.

Since it stated that this iPad 2025 doesn't have apple intelligence, Will it have it in the future update to get apple intelligence?

I take back what I said about this masterpiece because Samsung is about to release something worse that costs more.

They used a different panel, made the bezels a bit thinner because of that 0.1".

Why did they increased the size by 0,1 inch? To make more money on cases?

Not sure why iPad 11th Gen is reducing one core CPU and one core GPU instead of reducing clockspeed for both CPU and GPU?

Starjack, 09 Mar 2025Why would Apple downgrade the A16 chip by having to deactiv... moreMy guess is Apple is reducing the costs by reducing one core CPU and one core GPU (5 cores CPU instead of 6 cores and 4 cores GPU instead of 5 cores). Meanwhile, Apple claims their 11th Gen is about 30% more performance compared to 10th Gen. Not sure what is their CPU and GPU speed yet for 11th Gen iPad.

S I R E, 08 Mar 2025That is a nonsense excuse. Basic users tend to not upgrade ... moreYou are right.

I was owning ipad 10th gen with 4gb ram, though the cpu was good enough, ram caused browsers to crash many times, at the end it was so bad that I sold it and had to buy iPad air 2022 with 8gb ram and M1(I like ipad but it does not offer anything significant than android counterparts)

This may work for realy basic stuff, but people can just buy android tablet with 8 to 12gb ram which works better than this(why: because I also owned Lenovo table FHD M10 for 3yrs and it was really good lasted long enough for me in 15k inr)

Why would Apple downgrade the A16 chip by having to deactivate one core each on its CPU and GPU for this iPad? Even the previous gen iPad is using a full pledged A14 chip with 6-core CPU and 4-core GPU up and running.

Is it 4GB or 6GB of RAM? I'm guessing 6, but Apple can be stingy as eff.
Anyway, although 4GB RAM in 2025 is embarassing, 4GB actually is still usable on iPadOS, while 3GB is definitely won't cut it. We have the iPad Pro 10.5". Although it has the old A10X, thanks to 4GB of RAM, it runs musch smoother than newer devices with just 3GB of RAM. It's quite amazing actually.

Airman, 07 Mar 2025its the fact you just can't accept that ! this iPad is... moreThat is a nonsense excuse. Basic users tend to not upgrade their devices too often, meaning even if in some fantasy world 6GB is enough for a TABLET, which already is a product someone wouldn't buy if they weren't into tech a little bit is absurd because they're not gonna use it for just one year and get rid of it.

System resources demand keep increasing and even if the hardware survives just fine with time, the RAM limitations will render it less and less usable and force the user to buy newer even if they don't need it short of a RAM limitation.

You will keep coming up with horribly made up excuses just to defend Apple. What about their atrocities in storage pricing? Price difference in WiFi and cellular model? Deliberate limitations like a non standard file management system?

And why should I accept some bs that makes no sense? Because it came from you? Get out of your bubble.

I will keep criticizing bad practices no matter who does it, and there isn't anything you can do about it because you have no logical objective points to offer.
