you can watch youtube through the safari web browser, it will not work through the app. just log in and click on a video and it should play, will probably just take a while to load. we use this tablet mostly for youtube but also drawing and some games. we have the 64gb model. to download apps on to it sign in to icloud then go to the app store under purchased, and download the previously purchased apps and it will download the last compatible version. we have some ebook apps and games that we got through this way.

This ipad is better than most budget phones nowadays it has literally a smooth gameplay in every game i played even in mortal Kombat x
The camera is really good the only downside is the storage
I have it but it has main screen crack and only half of the screen works and no one can fix it in our local shops

I had this tablet since it came out, and it has been collecting dust for a while. However it has a great screen and still connects to Apple's servers, so I was able to download Splashtop and make it a secondary display for my PC. Works great and is functional since using the iPad for games and web is very slow.

i only have 16gb storage on this
here are some tips for this ipad:
1)downgrade ios to 8.4.1 through jailbreak (supposedly helps charge faster)
2)download 3utools on pc to upload files to this ipad
3)enjoy your old ipad

It even still has a leather smart cover, and it's a pretty reliable tablet. I haven't charged it in weeks, and it it still at over 60 percent. I have it loaded up with videos and games for airplane flights and road trips, I never have to worry about having my phone die again, because all my entertainment is on the good 'ol iPad. I do more modern tablets, like my iPad 4 and my iPad 8, but my iPad 4 is only 16gb, and my iPad 8 is completely out of storage, so I cannot even update it. It, along with my iPods, are the only Apple products I still use on a daily basis. It does chug on some games though, but that is expected from a 10 year old tablet.

Er, 11 Dec 2021Does ipad 3 16gb can download adobe Yes and no. If you have it downloaded on a newer iOS device you can go into the App Store>purchased>not on this iPad. Find Adobe and download. It will download a "compatible" versions. It will be limited in functionality but will still be able to view and edit raw images.

I bought this iPad back in 2013, it was a pre-owned device that had one of its corners smashed, it still works to this day, but due to the software being outdated after Apple discontinued the model it doesn't even work as the YouTube machine it was for the last 5 years.
Few games run on it, even those that worked great are now laggy and choppy after the updates slowed it down.
Nowadays the screen looks foggy as if it had been burned, I don't know why that happened after it was turned off for over 6 months.
I will not be buying a new tablet, but it was good during its prime days.

I got my iPad 3 new in 2012. It was black, wi-fi, 64 GB. The first thing I did after setting it up was to jailbreak it. Wherever I went, my iPad followed me. It was my workhorse during my four years of high school; I took all my notes on it so I wouldn't have to carry around multiple notebooks. It was also blazing fast, running games like Asphalt 7 with effortless ease. Those were the days.
I don't remember what exactly was the pivotal moment, but it had to do with my growing opposition to Apple as a company and their business practices, when I was in college. No longer the Apple fan I once was, I made the decision to get an LG Android device as my first (and only) smartphone. I also got a laptop which could do much more than the iPad. As a result, my iPad saw gradually less and less use, until eventually it was relegated to a drawer, along with my old flip phone and PlayStation Portable.
As time passed, I realized that I needed a tablet again, as I wanted something with a larger screen than my phone for web browsing, and it wasn't always convenient to fire up my laptop. So I fished my iPad 3 out of the drawer and dusted it off. But something wasn't right; the screen was cracked, and the glass panel was popping off. It was a sign that the battery inside was swelling up - just great. If this were any other device, I probably could've opened it up and replaced the battery. But no, the thing had to be firmly glued in, and I wasn't going to risk puncturing a lithium cell. So into the trash went an entire $700 device, all because of a bad battery.
RIP, little buddy. You were a good tablet.
