I’m planning to trade in my iPhone X 64gb to an iPad mini 5 64gb, wifi only. Is it a good deal and fair? My iPhone X has no issues except that the battery health is now at 76% (byt still original)

My dad was forced by the company to buy this tablet, and my dad sold it to me not wanting to use iOS. I paid RM800 to buy this tablet, it's fine to play genshin impact and Pubg, but if you have money, I don't recommend buying this tablet, because it doesn't have any advantages other than performance

Even the S7 FE with SD750 is fairly average when it comes to gaming.
Bottom line, if you buy an Android tablet for gaming the only cheap solution is Xiaomi Pad 5, with SD860 or maybe a second hand Tab S6 or S7, but those are tend to be quite expensive. More expensive than a second hand iPad Air 2019 for example.
Not to mention they offer maximum 2-3 years of software updates (that means bye bye software updates for S6 this year, and for S7 next year). With Apple you will get 5 minimum, even 6 or 7 years for some models (that means software updates until minimum 2024 for 2019 iPads).

We all know Apple's silicone is strong but we also know how hard they throttle in long gaming sessions. The Samsung remains a better option overall thanks to the more stable SD chipsets.

The graphics are excellent. The battery is decent, but a plain vanilla Samsung is better for a third of the price. If you take lots of photos this ipad is better than Samsung. If you want to side load programs like Tubemate without a jailbreak get the Samsung. The 3GB of RAM works well even in China. The Samsung can be tweaked in the developer menu to go a bit faster, but hangs with 2GB of RAM. I find myself less impressed with Apple all the time. Another thing is the battery runs hot when the weather is hot. I have had two other ipads and they started ghosting on two different trips to Malaysia. Another drawback is the thinness, which makes ipads fragile outdoors. When I take a trip the iphone is used for photos and the Samsung for everything else.

If you are planning to buy an ipad mini, even 2nd hand, I would suggest you go for the 4th gen, since it is upgradeable to ios 14, or if you have the budget to stretch, go for the 5th gen, as support will be longer.

Great iPad. Works flawlessly whit the most demanding game I played on iOS (iPad os) or android yet (Genshin impact). 60fps all on max.
