i just buy ipad mini wifi + cellular last week it's $480 in Cambodia and i don't know how to check data usage and it can't call too.

Well..it can provide over 12hour continuous LTE hotspot for all your other devices when your on the go. Haha.. thats over 4 times a typical mifi router can provide.

Apple do not want to break the sales of iphones..... and they think tablets is not used for calling/sms... just like the nexus 7.
But frankly.. i want call / sms feature....
