Just for some context, 1080p is rather poor for a monitor. 1440p is okay, and 4K is good. At 4K, you won't need to worry about seeing the pixels for a large monitor, 27 inches if you may.
4K is 3840x2160 if we're talking about 16:9 aspect ratios. For the short side, the iPad has pretty much nailed it, falling only about 120 pixels short. That's only a couple of millimeters of pixels missing to hit 4K. And while yes, the iPad is missing a lot of pixels in the horizontal length, it doesn't matter due to its 4:3 aspect ratio. It basically means that if you chopped the sides away from a 4K 16:9 screen until you had a 4K screen at 4:3, you should have a screen resolution of 2880x2160 screen. This iPad has a resolution of 2732x2048. In other words, you have 89% of the pixels for 4K.
As far as I'm concerned, this iPad screen is 4K. And for a screen that's less than half the size of a full monitor, this is an excellent resolution.

That's absolutely ridiculous then you got to show me meat pad and the other whatever pad whatever pad one only has a 193 PPI.... Alright Sony step up. I want a 10" version of the Sony xperia 1 V .... Is the exact same everything just 10 inchs..... and I'll pay you 1700 for it

Kev, 18 Oct 2022This thing already had ridiculous power potential in the M1... moreThe SOC will not behave identically in two different operating systems. One could thermal-throttle the M1 in MacBook Air as well but not the iPad Pro.
The power delivery is very different for the two devices.
It could get warm, but so do iPhone's and it's normal.
I'm just upset with the price.

Things are far more irrational in smartphone world. Number of phones with headphone jack released per year and the mass of average smartphones are negatively correlated. In fact, the well known ones with headphone jack are compact: zenfone 9 and Xperia 5iv. Latter even takes microSD! Meanwhile the p̶h̶a̶b̶l̶e̶t̶s̶ phones with more mass don't have either. What a weird, irrational world is that of "smart"phones.
