sorry i just had to add that this is THE PHONE OF THE FUTURE! just like everyone has an ipod, soon everyone will own or want to own an iphone. it's just that great. and as apple continues to fix the little things like no picture messaging or no stereo bluetooth or no copy and pasting, this phone would be in a league of its own. i bet the other phone companies are scared and just biding their time...

    I must admit this phone is the best phone in the market. take it from me, i'm currently a sony ericsson(SE) p990 owner. the p series of SE has some awesome features however bcuz the phone wasn't built with enough ram it can't really deliver on the way it's supposed to work. the newer p1 is supposed to fix this b/c it has more ram than the p990. but knowing SE i know it won't be long before people start complaining about that too. the problem is with the OS they use symbian uiq which is still in its early stages of development, relatively. the absolutely awesome thing about the iphone is the OS. if u've ever used or owned any of the mac computers/laptops you would understand what i mean. everything is user friendly and so seamless and easy to use and these same features are present on the iphone. it delivers on evry feature promised and it doesn't hang even when u have sevral applications open. WOW...i wouldn't believe it until i saw and played with one for myself. Too bad im with Tmobile:(
    i know that the unlocked versions are available but apple released a new update today that they said would basically make the unlocked versions of the phone useless:(
    i guess the next best thing is the ipod touch. either that or i switch to at&t. not gonna happen though...

      Read to get out of your ignorance :
      A recent Apple job listing for a "Bluetooth/WiFi SW Engineer - iPhone" specifically asked for experience in developing drivers for the Mac OS X I/O Kit, as well as familiarity with Mac OS X's Mach kernel and the ARM processor architecture.

          It is evident you do not understand that if you have the bluetooth
          hardware built into the Iphone and it is a programmable full blown computer with OSX inside all it takes is an application to give the bluetooth hardware digital instructions about transferring the files;
          so called also "software ".
          If you do not undesrtand this I suggest you take a course in computer science.
          You will then understand how different is this phone compared to the other "rigid " non programmable phones.

                And OSX has a full bluetooth management capability, so with the proper application you CAN transfer files.

                          Kate - There are some launch pages through Rogers that you do not get charged for. However, any other browsing you do you'll be charged for.

                          Canada sucks for data plans on all wireless vendors. They are expensive and don't provide much data transfer usage. This will be the barrier to the iPhone in Canada.

                          If you have access to WiFi at work, home etc. and can forgo the data cost that is good. If your company pays your wireless bill even better.

                          If you decide to buy the iPhone and use it in Canada, expect to pay a high phone bill if you do a fair bit of mobile browsing.

                                Does anybody know where I can see some pictures taken with the Iphone's camera?

                                I would like to see how good the camera is first.

                                What about this touchscreen. Wouldn't it mark or get the screen dirty? Have never had anything touchscreen before.

                                Other than that looks amazing!
