Let’s see what the 15 Pro Max brings, but you are right, the 13 Pro Max is still more than good enough.
I am waiting to see if the 15 Pro Max gets 8GB RAM, that would be the major thing now, if the 15 Pro Max gets more RAM I may jump, but still very happy with my 13 Pro Max 😁

I’ve had this iPhone 13 pro max since new, and it’s an awesome phone, cameras’s brilliant video quality is outstanding, and the battery last 2 days with normal use, not sure but I am thinking about upgrading when the iPhone 15 pro max comes out, but it depends on the price.

Jonah, 13 Jul 2023Mine (iPhone 12, 2 years old) couldn't keep a charge f... moreWere you a heavy user? Because 4 hours of battery is pretty bad. Now in my case I’m still on ios 15.7.1 and the battery is pretty good. Frankly I don’t think I’ll update my device because obviously updates kills the battery.
But come on man are you really switching to android? Cuz they suck in my opinion.

Mine (iPhone 12, 2 years old) couldn't keep a charge for over 4h after updating to 16.5.1. Eventually went dead. Now corporate are suggesting to get a new phone (they only provide iPhones) but the iPhone 14 lineup doesn't have a SIM tray. Which brings me here to check the iPhone 13 Pro Max just to find these threads about battery issues. In the meantime I got a 100 dollars Redmi A2 which has dual SIM, a memory card slot, and a 5000mAh battery (thinking about using it as a main phone). I mean why in the hell is anyone considering buying an Apple phone anyway? I get it for free and I still don't want one!

Lucif, 05 Jul 2023Frankly I want to update to get more functionality for my A... moreIs this a joke or are you serious? Your battery level is that way it is whether you update or not. The update may start showing a lower % in the settings menu, but your battery health is what it is, no matter what the % shown is. Updating wont "degrade" the battery it'll just start showing a different % (which in itself is an approximation and something people take WAY too seriously!)

RMR, 04 Jul 2023You may try to update. Mine from 100% battery health droppe... moreFrankly I want to update to get more functionality for my AirPods pro second generation, but at the same time I don’t want to update because of the battery situation.
It’s a tough choice.

Shine, 04 Jul 2023Iphone 13 pro max after I update a IOS 16 My phone Battery ... moreGood for you, but if you're using and/or have become dependent on any of Apple's services you should know it's not going to easy. Frankly, it's kind of true the other way around too. I use both platforms and they only way to do it keeping sovereignty of your data is by being your own service provider which has a bit of a learning curve even for tech-savvy individuals. Specially hosting your own email, most other services revolve around email and its directory service so if you manage to get that you'll be alright and it give you unprecedented ease to switch to whatever your want without planning data backups/exports and begging for the provided tools not to crash. I think for anybody on the Apple side it's best to stay there for the remaining on the device's life, stop buying anything from Apple and start gradually moving stuff over using trustwothy (enough) multiplatform services if you don't have your own.
Also know that you must root Android devices to get far down to the level of security and privacy the average Apple products has. Which isn't a high bar, privacy on Apple devices is just Apple anticompetitively keeping everybody out of your data so it can be the only one with access to it. Rooting has the risk of bricking your device, breaks your warranty and when rooted manufacturers like Sony, Samsung, etc maliciously lockout or disable hardware features of your device for "your security", y'know, the Apple playbook.

I haven’t updated to ios 16.5.1 yet, I’m still at ios 15.7.1🤣
But I’d like to ask for the people who did update, how’s the battery life on the 13 pro max, after updating did the battery drop inside the settings menu?
Your feedback will be appreciated. Thanks a lot

Still thoroughly enjoying this amazing device, battery life is great sitting at 99% health after 11 months of heavy usage, camera is superb especially for video recording even in at night which I do a lot of, and of course iOS is smooth and fast as it’s known to be.

My iPhone 13 Pro Max battery health got crazily down only in a month after I got the last update . It was 95 just a month ago and now it got down to 91 . Is it because of the update , or there might be a technical problem ,Idk please someone explain . (I do play games a lot “ not so heavy games only PUBG and mobile legends”)
