I am presentl... moreBeing a long time android user myself -- it was a learning curve to switch to iPhone but not difficult at all. Samsung freezes up too much for me and was totally unreliable. Half the stuff I do on my iPhone is already standard without me having to install all the apps like I did on android. I recommend sticking with iPhone-- way smoother and so much more reliable OS. Now that was just my experience with Samsung -- I still love android but iPhone is not as locked in like it used to be-- much more stable and reliable!!!

frustrated, 11 Oct 2022Hi: I am looking at upgrading my XR iphone. I am presentl... moreiPhone 14 Pro. If you care about pictures. Nothing beats it now. iPhone 13 Pro if you are lacking money.

If you are scared about overheat (when using intensive apps or long video recording), buy phone bumper case only. (Those without back covers). Then use popsockets or other magsafe phone grips so you can hold it properly plus it protects the back with its raised profile. Without back cover, it allows the phone to vent heat properly and lengthen your battery performance.

Samsung is good only for sharing pictures or a standalone device.. with its utility apps, but since you already have a Mac, it does not matter.. much.. since the iPhone will enhance your mac.

Hi: I am looking at upgrading my XR iphone. I am presently looking at iphone 14 pro, iphone 13 pro or Samsung S22 ultra. I am told if you have had an iphone you will find it difficult to switch. It it my gray hair, being a senior citizen they figure I can't pick up. If that is the case, I would say I am comfortable trying things new, switching from a PC to an apple computer side by side. I see comments about the apple overheating, the camera juts out, it is heavy. I hear good things about Samsung, so looking at the two can anyone give me their opinion between the two and do I sick with an operating system I use or do I be brave and try something new. I do like using it for pictures. I am not glued to my phone. Your advice is valued.

What you need is iphone 14 or iphone 13 mini.. both are light as it uses aluminum.. but no 1TB options, nor 120hz.

I have an iPhone XS and ordered an iPhone 14 Pro, which arrived this week. I made the mistake of ordering it without first viewing one in a store. What a disappointment. The 14 Pro is a very heavy phone and the cameras make it look cartoonish. Within 48 hours of taking delivery of the phone, I returned it to Apple.

Overall, I don't like the direction that Apple has been taking with recent iPhone design. The phone is now too tilted towards users who want to take high-end pics and videos. What about making mobile phones that are lighter and more energy-efficient than their predecessors? Equally, I am quite sure that if Steve Jobs was still alive and running Apple, he would never have signed off on adding camera lenses that are not flush with the back cover of a phone.

I'm hoping for better things with the next iPad Pro but I reckon that I will check it out in an Apple store before committing.

Camera quality and supporting feature like LIDAR for night mode aside. iPhone storage have NVMe SSD compared to Xperia's normally should be ufs. On top of that have option up to 1TB blazing fast ssd, plus good image / video compression methods, make iPhone take photo / video fast and efficient.

Sony you may have to opt for SD card.. which is slow and may not have the read and write for high quality videos and photos.

However Sony would excel in option in sharing photo (utility apps), because photo and video format taken by Android OS normally can open on any PC, BT / NFC sharing and so on. While iPhone, normally send thru messages, whatsapp, and Airdrop (Between iDevices only).
