I’ve had iPhones since the very first design.💗 Always pricey but great quality with superb cameras and luscious, capacitive touchscreens. As a phone for making calls I would say call quality was never great. They last well. I upgraded from an iPhone 11 to an iPhone 14 Pro 6 weeks ago. At £1.1K not a cheap purchase.
It has a vibrant gorgeous screen with a high tech camera.
But…..it is a “white elephant”. Very expensive but of little use. The iPhone 14 Pro has technology that is geared to receiving signal bandwidths that do not exist yet. I have tried 3 networks, four SIM cards at home in Central Cambridge I get one or 2 bars of 3G signal.
I’ve missed important texts, calls, emails. It’s poor performance has cost me money. After all the iPhone is a means of COMMUNICATION.
Design— initially I thought it was ok but it is top heavy with thick black plastic cylindrical lenses that protrude; a design flaw that contradicts Apples flair for sleek, minimalistic design classics. The camera is excellent and the video.
The battery — worse than an old iPhone 11, the battery is drained by the “find mobile coverage” setting.
Build quality — sadly not the usual high spec materials of aluminium or steel etc its glossy thick plastic chassis is reminiscent of counterfeit sunglass frames. It’s clunky in the hand with the top heavy camera, volume buttons again not metal but plastic.
In one week I’ve spoken to over ten Apple agents for hours, days, been through diagnostic test after test. Apple customer service has waned; some speak with annoyance and at times are extremely impolite. Hours and hours with no resolution. I just need a phone. Legally this is not fit for purpose it’s data connectivity is horrendous. I’ve loved Apple iPhones but this has sadly been the opposite, no refund or replacement offered. My only option is to go to the Apple Store and ask to trade it in for Apple vouchers. A costly mistake for me, but for others I respect it meets their demands and connects to their network.
Great camera and screen but I can’t recommend the iPhone Pro 14. I wish I’d spent a thousand pounds on a DSLR camera…you never know it may receive texts and phone calls.

Best phone in the market, great battery life, smooth performance and camera is also good to use.
