But the mobile contracting makes it still kinda buyable, but barely.

I don't see Huawei as apple of Android would
Only thing Huawei has in common with apple is the premium pricing problem
Some of the most expensive Huawei smartphones had real stupidity with over priced smartphones that clearly where not worthy of the price tag
Unlike apple Huawei did at least make some reasonable flagship killers
but did make some good budget smartphone with good software optimization but was never a fan of the custom skins and changes made too android

was always just so middle of the road too me not the best not the worsted
bashed kirin chips I think because too heavily focused on having many cores
Huawei build quality was poor screens break too easily
Although Huawei smartphone was fairly smooth software it was still kinda slow
I remember they where really popular in 2019/2020 making smartphones
Nearly all my family liked them
seem too really like there performance and battery life
They had the Huawei p smart 2019 for bargain price of 100 pound
There's no denying that it was good for that price
Huawei rip now without Google play services and Google play store

What??!?! 😅 14 Pro Max is biggest upgrade in many years. Better chip, better camera, always on display, dynamic island, even longer battery life, very bright screen in outside.

No doubt it's a topshelf device but it has a number of features few will miss on a lesser device. One example is the Bionic 16 Chipset. Unless one is performing seriously high intensity power processing, a lesser SoC is more than sufficient. Same with it's cameras, iPhone can brag about it's new 48MP Sensor but it's pixel binning, the default photo is 12MP. Compare the end result to any number of smartphones with decent cameras and you'll struggle to know which is which. I priced out the Pro Max with 512GB. $1,400 USD. Hard to justify paying that much when I can buy a Samsung S22 Ultra, 512GB for $997 USD which has comparable and in some cases superior specifications. To be frank the iPhone 14 Pro Max is almost identical to the iPhone 13 Pro Max, it makes no sense!

you have to suffer, 15 Sep 2022used to have the p30 pro. but too expensive at its time. th... moreIt's such a shame too, I heard the p30 pro was an amazing phone (my dad had the p30 and I liked that, I had the mate 10 pro at the time). I liked to think of them as the iPhones of android, incredibly well built, brilliant cameras, great performance without any performance drops (even though people bashed the kirin chips) and really nice feature sets (yours came with the electromagnetic speaker under screen but it also could be used as a speaker unlike the p40 pro which was just for calls, plus yours had better call quality with it too).

Bionic Chip, 15 Sep 2022Yeah, 150GB could be enough for 4k video storage even witho... moreTbh yeah I'm a casual user so I don't really need anything more than decent 1080p/4k recording where as for yourself who does use 8k (I'm guessing you possibly need it for work or more of a hobbiest) editing with it probably is a nice extra thing to have and let's be honest, iphones have some of the best video recording on a phone (unless you get the Sony i-Pro with all the accessories).
I think for most of us the headphone jack and sd card slot aren't really needed anymore with good quality BT headphones and cloud but again for a professional/starting up in content creating who probably needs gigabytes/ terabytes of storage on the fly, having a device that just works in all conditions, has tonnes of space for raw editing and good microphones and high sample rates is a lot easier to do your job than needing multiple lenses, cameras and other accessories carrying around with you (plus more expensive).
