As much as apple messes with us with the pricing ladder, I'm going with the iPhone 15 128gb rather than the Pro. The black color is sleek.
Why? The only difference that actually matters between the 2 is the display refresh rate, but here's the thing: iPhones (and iPads) are so smooth already that I could barely see any difference at all when trying them out in stores. This is opposed to other brands where I can see a difference due to less smooth UI.
For example. I could see almost no difference between the iPad Air 5 and the iPad Pro, but the 60Hz display on a Tab S6 Lite was noticeably choppy.
There's some benefits to the 15 to like reduced weight, and some tests have shown slightly better battery than the 15 Pro. I suggest others do the same, if everyone keeps buying the Pro iPhones and iPads apple will keep annoying us with the pricing ladder.

As someone who never owns an iPhone myself I'm thinking about who this belongs to and here are my thoughts.(IMO and TLDR as a gamer myself, I won't buy this as preference)
I may not care about the refresh rate 60z though. For average users this is just okay if they can't notice the difference of the refresh rate. Sounds to me, this is intended because Apple wanted to prolong the battery life and because they're using a year old a16 bionic chipset, it makes sense.
If I were to buy this, I would consider giving up gaming and just use it to browse social media or watch streaming apps and do calls/text most of the time. However it should still be possible to gaming since it's like the 14 Pro models(but only limited).
I may not care about the data transfer (240mbps) too if I don't have a Macbook or any laptop in general to transfer files to one another AND you don't edit videos or photos like pro photographers/designers do.
Another gripes I have is the build quality of this phone. Sure the build is Aluminum like last year but the color is not for me. I just checked MKBHD new iphone unboxing video today and the color looks...white majority (maybe its his camera?). As a dude, I'll go for the black one instead.
Overall, iPhone 15 I think is for those looking for budget and average users. I might buy this as a gift to my mom/grandma though. That's how average the phone is. As a gamer myself, I'll buy the iPhone15 Pro instead

15 & 15 plus should have atleast got a refresh rate 90hz like the google pixel 7 did, instead of the 60hz. Its time thry upgraded to the next like the pro models.

Isn't just crazy that 1000€ phone comes with 60hz and 128 gb model in 2023/2024?
Ohhh i forgot who would then buy Pro models :/. Apple is great.

would have cost them almost nothing to include, simply a marketing trick, so they'll put next year for ip16.
I guess it's also for battery they didn't put, battery is weak already, 120 can drain easily 20% more battery (it basically push the DAC two times faster, so GPU redraw more often, then tax on CPU certainly too... and hardly can be optimized I suppose)
maybe all of that.
I don't bother 60hz myself
but yeah thinking android display is more fluid and run smoother than iOS nowadays makes me laugh...
especially knowing android relies and tons of old shit compatibility layers, graphics drivers, frameworks, ...

Even sideload, they will fake it so it won't really be usable. Have always disliked apple for their private proprietary pseudo-smart things, otherwise they do great hardware, but it's in their DNA, with mac, apple ii... That what made apple successful and that always what made them failed later many times, won't be surprised that will happen again, they don't learn from their own history.
Anyway Samsung / apple phones are like tomayto-tomhato now...
I'd like an iPhone without ugly 300 lasers in my face pill, and, customability of Samsung. Like an iPhone you can order tuning color, back (plastic or glass) , unlock (laser face, button, screen, no useless magshit ...) Like when you buy a car you choose real options. That would be great.

Action button. What a brilliant idea!
As an Android user, I hope Android vendors are going to copy it. Whenever Apple does something good, I am thankful for this reason. It will be copied by the rest of the vendors.
It is in effect the equivalent of the FN buttons on DSLM cameras.
