They cant even bother to give 120 (or even 90) on their Basic models? Its 2024 people. The "different phones for different kind of people" doesnt really work here. Apple makes 4 models a year not 20. They should include the option and it should be up to the individual whether to use it or not. It would make sence if this was a budget phone. But Apple doesnt do budget phones. Its a sub 1k dollar phone.
Honestly everything else is great but going from a 120Hz screen to 60, i just cant do.
Rant over

good phone for the price, and good battery, only downside is that you cant transfer from ipad at all, even if its updated to the newest version of iPadOS

Anonymous, 16 Feb 2024No, its not and its a fact. Every time i see and try iPhone... moreMay be to your eyes. I compared a 15 pro with my iphone 14. i only find the difference when scrolling, otherwise i dont find a huge difference between 60 and 120 HZ. No lags for sure

D1N0B, 22 Feb 2024all iphones since the 6s could record 4KI had the iPhone 6s and it was really good, expect that the battery only lasted for an hour due to it being water damage. Definetly when apple peaked.

3349mAh and suppposed to last longer than 5000 batteries in androids
makes no sense to me : same TSMC 4nm, very similar cores, same render from webkit more or less initiated from KDE... more or less same old kernel (unix based). What 'magic' should be behind that.
maybe some software optimisation like video decode due to the tightly coupled ios/iphone, but still.

I got this phone instead of Samsung s22+. First iphone too. The cameras are not sharper or more capable but the way the photos look is superior. Colors, hdr almost always so much better. Battery life better despite over 1000mAh less. But I do miss the 120hz display from samsung and the 3x telephoto lens. Also flashlight on this iphone is wack. But overall good fast phone and it has nice design.

great phone, just cause it’s 60hz doesn’t mean it’s the end of the world. everyone is forgetting the fact that it has the A16 bionic chip, a great battery life, dynamic island, light body, and a 2x zoom despite not having a dedicated telephoto lens. the 48mp camera is great too, so is USB-C. i know it’s USB 2.0, but i don’t really care, nor know anyone who still transfers with a cable. really made the base models feel like a pro with the matte back, telephoto zoom, and dynamic island. no action button, but does it really matter?

alfaris71, 15 Feb 2024people who complain 60Hz refresh rate in iPhone much smoo... moreNo, its not and its a fact. Every time i see and try iPhone 14, 15 etc... It feels like they are lagging horribly meanwhile even a Galaxy A54 which costs nearly quarter of iPhone 15 is butter smooth.

alfaris71, 15 Feb 2024people who complain 60Hz refresh rate in iPhone much smoo... moreThen it's the Samsung that has some issues cause 120hz is a totally a thing (I first thought it was just to push the phones that it wouldn't make any difference but it did) and smoother than ever, it's very noticeable, even on a cheap Redmi.

Big Head Professor, 22 Dec 2023I know you real. You didn't bought it, so why should b... moreCause it has an apple logo and is cool, the newest fashion thingy, it's popular etc. If you care about that and need something that is easy to use & you have a lot money to waste then iPhones are fine. But if you want more phone for the money, go for Android imo.
People say "this iphone or Samsung never lags", my Xiaomi that is like 1/5 of the price never lags even if I have 10-15 apps on, lol.

Xperia1V, 03 Feb 2024the iphone being an iphone is a drawback. No telephoto lens... moreeven tech youtubers like mkbhd says the best phone depends on what you use it for.
Example, my phone doesn't have fb, insta, other social apps installed but I do spend a lot of time on firefox+ublock, chrome and youtube revanced. i use youtube downloader a lot too for long bus/train journeys where data coverage is spotty. or rip the mp3s from the yt files and rebalance it's volume levels via mp3gain in termux. and *ahem* flud torrent downloader for various reasons...
So for someone like me, iOS wouldn't allow nearly everything I'd expect *my* phone to do.
On the other hand, if you need the absolute best video recording then sure go get the iphone pros. No need to throw around blanket statements that this or that phone is the best when everyone uses a phone differently.
