I think the world will end when fights between ios and android fans stops.
On the other hand iphone 15 pro max and s24 ultra shows that technology right now barely moves because predecessors are pretty much the same with small upgrades on both.

I pride myself on being among the apparent few who can happily switch between Android and iOS at my own whim, and who doesn’t seem to harbour some deep, all-consuming grudge against a tech company.
And on that note yes we would agree, there are those who despite not being fans, still can’t seem to get Apple out of their heads.

Samsung Mobile is a separate business division to Samsung LSI, Samsung Display etc…they all have their own budgets, profit outlook and KPIs. TV falls under their VD business division, if Mobile is not doing well they cannot just “depend” on another business.
So back to my point, I am interested to see if they keep their promise on updates for their smartphones, in their Q4 2023 report when it comes to their MX business which is essentially Mobile they reported a Q-on-Q sales decline and decline in profitability, if this continues we may see them change their stance as they will need to move resources to where they can stop the profit bleed.

iPhone is a wonderfully capable device. From the ability perspective, an android can do what iphone can, at half the price... or a quarter of the price. I owned both and will continue to support any decent product which gets the job done. From the economic perspective though, an android gets the job done with a lot less.
