And it’s divided in into iCloud Drive (only if you want to use that) and „On my iPhone“. So, another case of a person who never used an iPhone complaining about things that are not even true but that they would know of if they ever used it.

It's all iTunes or cloud, all under apples' control. it's not your files, it's THEIR. Pay more and then, more again. That's why it's a walled garden. As I love their hardware and proc..i Can't stand a their software a second.

I think I would love to have the phone, if I just could understand the file system of IOS. (Ok, and it's a LOT more expensive than I can handle 🙂) But still: most probably great camera, waterproof, looooong support with updates etc. But if you work a lot with files on your phone, it's probably dealbreaker from the start. The internet is full of questions like: where do downloaded files go on Iphone? I've been using an old Iphone for some years now and I use iPad every day and I'm still not quite sure 🤷 When I have to work with files, I use android phone and that's it.

My last will be the basic s23. Maybe change battery if required. Runs so smoothly, can be in bloated/unspyed easily, camera is more than enough for my use.

Smaller phones are going away unfortunately. Brands are saying that's what users want. I ' be nostalgia of time when hardware was made for IT enthusiast and engineers, not for generic people knowing nothing about those.

But but but... Android espacialy zamzung become same close with tons of non removable, non-configurable, non-rootablr, dark-patrerns and shaddy spy and non disabling packages , and forced things ( bigsby now ai, force to insert a sim to boot up, probably soon to have a zamazung account too) - just try abd to see how many spy/bloat/battery useless stuff running in background. With googoo related to those of course.
So, never say never, maybe one day will be - forced - to switch. Their hardware has always been superior to me, so if their software is same everywhere, and not anymore more expensive, then, yes, I'll switch
