No SIM Card tray on phone...no money from me. Bring back SIM tray for greater flexibility an ease of moving from one phone to another. eSIM has too many issues and locks you into Apple ecosystem.

So many people commenting 60hz as if they would buy it if the display is 120hz. Stupid complains.

Way too many compromises compared to the regular 16 to justify the $600 price tag.
Nerfed A18 chip with 1 less GPU core (4-core vs 5-core)
Much dimmer display outdoors (1200nits vs 2000nits)
No MagSafe support so no 25w wireless charging (7.5w vs 25w)
No Ultra Wide camera
No sensor shift OIS on the main camera
No UWB chip, not even the first gen
No Wifi 7
No camera comtrol button
No dynamic island
Older gen ceramic shield
That's all I can think of. Feel free to add more.

Although definitely better (spec wise) than the absolutely dire offering that was the SE3, this just so...what?
For £600 you get a phone missing so many things that £400 phones are offering, and all of it (or lack thereof) packaged in an outdated iPhone chassis. I think the price is the main sticking point for me. £600 for this?
I know the "hurr Apple overpriced" jabs are quite tired at this point but that is genuinely all I can think of. Only Apple would be this blatant with a phone that screams "Yeah its honestly not even remotely a good deal, but our customers will pay up so screw them" mentality.

120hz all the time is fine for a desktop computer that does not have to worry about power consumption, on a cell phone 120hz refresh rate only makes sense if it is a dynamic refresh rate, not all the time you are going to need 120hz, for example to see a static image, or watch a video at 24 or 30 fps, or even play a game that will only run at 60fps, so most phones that boast 120hz are phones that have a fixed refresh rate, so most phones that boast 120hz are phones that have a fixed refresh rate, they are phones that have a fixed refresh rate, or watch a video at 24 or 30 fps, or even play a game that will not go faster than 60fps, so most mid-range phones that boast 120hz are phones that have a fixed refresh rate, either 60hz or 120hz and keeping them at 120hz will only shorten the battery life.

600$ for a 60Hz display with a single camera(rear) ?
It was expected to be 500$. So I think it's not gonna be ba good deal. It's batter to go for Samsung's latest 'S' series.

"eSIM + eSIM "
lol, how it work ? eSIM is "single sim" with profiles, 1 profile = 1 operator / sim card.

AnonD-1105399, 19 Feb 202560hz and as per apple fanboys this is the best display, the... moreapple fanboys dont say its the best display, just regular people say that its not needed. Clearly you never talk to normal people who have not a damn clue about what refresh rate is. And I do think this phone has issues, especially the lack of ultrawide lens, which is a downgrade for people who this is marketed to (they compared it to the iphone 11)
Clearly you're just veting about the 60 hrz, no one cares, not apple, not the users, its not like you would suddenly buy it if it had 120 hrz, let's be a bit more grown up and complain about the stupid camera system.

firestar1291, 19 Feb 2025According to techradar, the base price will be $/£ 599, so ... moreYeah it would have made so much sense if it was at least 100 less, but 600$ phone without ultrawide lens. In the video they said "80% faster than iphone 11" but i think the upgrade is still very sour without the ultrawide camera, i so wish that was still in, otherwise even i would be eyeing it
