Moon, 03 Nov 2025Apple Inc. cannot fool consumers who see the deterioration ... moreSince you mentioned A19:
Shows better (up to 40%) AnTuTu 10 score – 2300K vs 1643K
5% higher CPU clock speed (4260 vs 4050 MHz)
Higher GPU frequency (~9%)
Supports 14% higher memory bandwidth (68.2 against 60 GB/s)
I'll take 5% cpu and 9% gpu upgrades lol. What do you want more? You can't be serious and expect 2x performance when all tech almost reached their limits lol

Jager, 31 Oct 2025Lol they didn't downgrade the display, if you are talk... moreApple Inc. cannot fool consumers who see the deterioration of the iPhone 17 display compared to the 16. The same goes for the A19 processor, which is a rebranded version of the A18. De facto, it turned out to be the same iPhone 16 but with a less bright display and 120hz instead of 60hz and with crappy iOS 26 out of the box. A few more years of such “innovations” and the company will have to follow in Nokia's footsteps.

Moon, 30 Oct 2025It was presented as an “improvement” but in fact is not an ... moreLol they didn't downgrade the display, if you are talking about GSM's review, they probably just couldn't trick the sensors with their artificial light and this seems the be the case for Oppo X9 Pro and Xiaomi 17PM where GSM claims them to be in the low 1000s of nits despite them being "seemingly" brighter last year like base model Xiaomi 15 reaching 1500nits.
ShortCircuit (Linus Tech Tips) and many other have confirmed that 17's reaches 2900-3055 nits, they can actually hit 3500nits but only for tiny parts of an HDR video.
Disabling PWM will not affect the brightness, but it might mess with color accuracy if you are in a dark area with low brightness.

" the iPhone 17 has a 1-120Hz adaptive refresh rate with its ProMotion technology"
"No, the base iPhone 16 models have a 60Hz display, not a 120Hz display"
I would say that's a huge upgrade lol

Anonymous, 30 Oct 2025You said their display are "poor". So where is so... moreIt was presented as an “improvement” but in fact is not an actual improvement. This means that consumers have received a downgrade in display brightness to almost the level of the iPhone 13. In addition, the PWM issue has not been resolved, only a suggestion to “turn off” PWM in exchange for reduced display performance. And all this at the same high price, with no discounts, which looks like another mockery of consumers by Apple Inc. that has already become a habit of this trillion-dollar company.
