With iPhone X preorders in 6 weeks and availability sometime after that, it leaves a large window for discussions about the pros and cons of this device. Apple is for the most part targeting current and past iPhone users. They're not likely to attract many crossover android users since most of the new features on this device have been components on android smartphones for some time now at a significantly lower price point. Facial Recognition, Wireless Charging, Imersive LED Display and Glass Body among others. A good portion of the early debate has revolved around cost. Even longtime iPhone devotees are going to think twice about the cost/value metric. Not only for the X flagship between $999.00 and $1,149.00 but even more so for the iPhone 8 and 8 Plus which are priced at $699.00 and $799.00 respectively. By the time you buy Earpods, Lighting Dock, Wireless Charger and a Case you'll have invested over $1,300.00 for the 64 GB and $1,450.00 for a 256 GB iPhone X and between $1,000.00 to $1,100.00 for the iPhone 8 and 8 Plus. Currently you can purchase a new iPhone 7 Plus in the mid $400.00 range. The new iPhone offerings are no doubt great devices but even hardcore applehead's will give flagship android devices a good look before they throw down that much cash on their next smartphone.

I love the design of that thing. Its perfect size, flat screen and rounded stainless steel sides should make for a great in hands feeling and probably user experience. Would be buying one instantly if it was priced competively.

Why do people always talk about the CPU and Processor performance not knowing that only matters for operating systems designed poorly :\.

For those people saying that the Apple CPUs always beats the snapdragon when it comes to speed and multitasking, let me remind you that the snapdragon phones (Galaxy S8, LG V30...or what ever) works always with way higher resolutions than the iphone's which means they provide more details no matter what app you're running, that's why they need a little bit more time for processing...So, it doesn't me that the Apple CPUs are quicker because if you try them on 4k screen like the (Sony xz premium one) or Quad HD+ (Like the S8) they will probably perform too slow

What bothers me is why Apple had to use Samsung's OLED technology. It takes away from everything that is associated with Apple, such as the new iPhone X. Buying the iPhone X is actually like buying a replica of a new Samsung's latest phone! especially since most of the technology in the current iPhone X, were actually designed by Samsung!

i think its a great new take on the design but i think it would have been better with at least the option of having the matte black or jet black colour

r, 13 Sep 2017lol. snapdragons 835 octacore can't even beat a yera old qu... moreactually, the oneplus 5 beat the iphone 7 plus on performance and multitasking operations. And it scored the highest on antutu having everything in consideration of cours (ram speed, grapics, cpu,..)
The A10 CPU is still faster than the snapdragon 835 yup, by 10-15% yup
But in terms of Graphics the adreno 540 beats it with a massive 40%. All in all they're pretty even in termos of performance. So, don't come bragging it can't beat the A10 because, it kinda does

Best have faster charging then my £260 phone that already charges quicker then any iphone. Waiting around for new expensive phone recharge not my thing.
