Apple outs first public beta for iOS 11.2 and tvOS 11.2

Just yesterday Apple made iOS 11.1 and tvOS 11.1 available to the general public, following a beta testing period of a few weeks. And now the company is already working on the next releases of its operating systems for mobile devices and the Apple TV consoles.

As of now, the first public betas of both iOS 11.2 and tvOS 11.2 are available to download and install. All you need to do is enroll in the company's Beta Software Program. You should definitely expect to see some bugs, but the flip side is that you can participate in shaping the next generation of Apple software.

iOS 11.2 fixes a Calculator animation bug that caused some numbers and symbols to be ignored if entered in rapid succession. With this release, animations are completely removed from the app, ensuring that you can make calculations as quickly as you wish. New wallpapers previously exclusive to the iPhone 8 and 8 Plus are available for everyone now, while a new Now Playing option controls content on your Apple TV through the Control Center. Camera emoji have been redesigned, and there's a new loading animation for Live Photos effects too.

tvOS 11.2 bakes in some new developer options which allow for switching the Apple TV 4K's display output to match the native frame rate and dynamic range of the video content being shown. The Unwatched category is also back in Home Sharing for movies, TV shows, and home videos.
