Apple outs iOS 9.3.3, OS X El Capitan 10.11.6 updates, iOS 10 and Mac OS Sierra beta 3

Kaloyan, 19 July, 2016

Apple has begun seeding iOS 9.3.3 and OS X 10.11.6 El Capitan for its current mobile and desktop operating systems. Both updates bring no new features, but squash some bugs.

Meanwhile, Apple has also released beta 3 versions of its iOS 10 and mac OS Sierra. Those are available to the developer previews, while the public testers will get public beta 2 in a week or so.

The new iOS 10 dev beta 3 improves on the phone lockscreen with sounds and haptic feedback, the clock in the status bar, the image picker in Messages, and adds an option to send files to iCloud Drive from Mail and Safari.

The third dev beta of the mac OS Sierra is available in the Mac App Store now. It should improve on the stability, performance, and the newly added Siri, among other features.

All public testers will get Public Beta 2 on iOS 10 and Sierra later on, as the public beta releases are more diluted in time.

Downloaded the new update El Capitan 10.11.6 last night. Now my computer is trashed. Started with the stalled screen, the flashing black and white, then all black. No safe start, no PRam, no restore. I feel helpless!

Windows, Windows...I seem to remember some really crappy operating system from the '90s that people used then. Is that dinosaur still around? You never see it anywhere.
