Apple planning all-5G lineup for 2022, including SE model
Last year Apple introduced its first 5G-enabled phone lineup and it only makes sense that the trend will be carried over to its upcoming models. Nikkei Asia reports that next year’s iPhone lineup will be made up of all-5G models including a redesigned entry-level iPhone SE with the A15 chipset and 5G connectivity. The device is said to retain its 4.7-inch LCD panel and will carry the same iPhone 8 style chassis and is expected to launch in the first half of 2022.
Apple is also expected to move on from its iPhone mini by 2022 which had disappointing sales throughout the past year. A mini is still expected to be released in this fall. Looking into the 2021 iPhone lineup, Nikkei Asia reports that Apple may bring a more affordable 6.7-inch non-Pro model. The second half of 2021 is also expected to bring new MacBook Pros and AirPods.
