Apple rolls out fifth developer betas for its fall operating systems

The latest additions to Apple’s fall system updates are here with the fifth developer betas for iOS 18, iPadOS 18, macOS Sequoia, watchOS 11, visionOS 2, and tvOS 18.

iOS 18 Beta 5 comes in at 2GB and brings a new modem update for improved connectivity. Safari on iOS 18, iPadOS 18, and macOS Sequoia is getting a new Distraction Control feature that allows you to hide annoying pop-ups ads from the option menu.

The Photos app now gets a new layout that removes the Carousel view alongside a new customize and reorder options which allows you to manage your photo collections.

The Home Screen gets a new edit pages option. Maps and Find My app icons have been updated with new designs. The icons in the control center now have a more transparent design.

The new software releases also feature bug fixes and general improvements. As always it is not advisable to install beta software on your primary devices and you should always perform a backup of your data prior to installs.

People with iphone xs and 11 don't update if you want your phones to stay useable. Ios 18 will bog down even iphone 13 because of the 4gb ram. Multitasking has already been so bad lately since a couple ios updates.
