Apple seeds second developer beta of iOS 26.1 and iPadOS 26.1
Apple has rolled out the iOS 26.1 Beta 2 for iPhones, along with new second developer betas for its other operating systems.
The iOS 26.1 Beta 2 update brings several improvements, minute UI design changes, and bug fixes to the iPhone. In the latest beta update, Alarms and Timers get a new ‘Slide to stop’ button instead of the tap option.

iOS 26.1 Beta 2 introduces a new toggle under Privacy & Security in Settings that lets users automatically download and install security patches. The Fitness app now supports creating custom workouts.
Meanwhile, iPadOS 26.1 Beta 2 reintroduces the Slide Over multitasking feature and adds a new option to adjust input gain for external microphones connected to the iPad.
Apple has also released the Beta 2 update for macOS 26.1 Tahoe, watchOS 26.1, tvOS 26.1, and visionOS 26.1 alongside the iOS 26.1 and iPadOS 26.1 updates.

Definitely not. Ever used the iOS/iPad OS 26 beta? Even the final version is full of bugs and the battery life is horrible for older devices (including my M1 iPad Pro). On top of it, lot of unfinished touches in the UI here and there. It is just a my...

Not exactly true. Most android phones have latest updates and are very smooth now. Unless you count low end trash.

Nah , as a long time Android flagship user moving over to Apple was such a surprises that even beta updates were much better than ANY buggy Android release. Never going back to that crap
