Apple shows off Portrait Mode in latest iPhone 7 Plus ad
Holiday season is over and Apple has released its first iPhone ad of 2017. This one focuses on the Portrait Mode feature on the phone.
Portrait Mode, for those not aware, uses the secondary 57mm telephoto lens on the iPhone 7 Plus along with the primary lens to create a 3D map of the object in front of it and then selectively applies a blur filter around its edges to separate the subject from the background. This creates a highly desirable shallow depth of field effect, which is particularly sought after for portrait image, which is what this effect is primarily designed for.
For what it's worth, the feature is still technically in beta, but Apple probably has enough confidence in it now to make a commercial specifically for it.

You clearly didnt understand point then... i was never implying 4GB of ram mattered in photo filtering (your not even suppose to use the phone for that in the 1st place) nor if the sensor mattered to create a background blur. What i said was, no phon...
