Apple Vision Pro Caviar Edition is decorated with 18K gold, costs $40K
Dubai-based Caviar, known for its custom luxury class devices, today announced Apple Vision Pro Caviar Edition, also called CVR Edition. The Vision Pro is touted as a "spatial computer" by Apple, and Caviar says their idea behind the CVR Edition was to turn this spatial computer into a work of designer art.
The luxury brand drew inspiration for the Apple Vision Pro Caviar Edition from Tom Ford's flip-up glasses and Gucci's ski masks to transform the headset into a "pinnacle of both technology and style."
The Apple Vision Pro Caviar Edition and its protective mask are decorated with more than 1.5kg of 18K gold, while the headband is made from Connolly leather - also supplied to the British Royal Court and Rolls-Royce - to guarantee an indulgent and comfortable experience for the owner.
Those who've read about the Vision Pro would know that Apple's first AR/VR headset uses EyeSight, which makes the device feel transparent by showing the user's eyes when it's worn and someone approaches them. Even though EyeSight gives visual cues to others that you are busy when you are immersed in an environment or using an app, Caviar decided to offer a privacy option on the CVR Edition to let the users hide their eyes on the external screen since the company found that not everyone appreciates having their eyes displayed on the screen.
While the Apple Vision Pro is priced at $3,499, the Vision Pro CVR Edition is expected to have a whopping starting price of $39,900. Caviar will only make 24 units of the Apple Vision Pro Caviar Edition, which it plans to launch in the fall of 2024.

Who will win? A 35,000 USD car or EV which can get you places and is far better with 5000 USD towards emergency supplies, food, rent and much more or... A PC-heavy device strapped to your face built out of gold and leather.
