Apple will invest €1 billion in a new silicon design center in Munich

Apple announced it's investing €1 billion in a new silicon design center after spending just as much on its new R&D center in Munich two years ago. In fact, the new facility is treated as an expansion of the existing one since it will be located just across the street.

Inside Apple's current research facility

Apple wants to bring 2,000 of its engineers in one place, so they can work more efficiently with state-of-the-art equipment. Efforts will go toward developing custom silicon design, power management chips and future wireless technologies. The main goal is to improve Apple's devices' performance, efficiency and power savings.

With so much cash lying around, Apple was bound to announce a huge investment like this and we suspect that there's more to come in the near future. In the last five years, Apple has spent over €18 billion with more than 800 German companies and has provided numerous jobs in the country.

If both aren't great what is actually great in your opinion? Anyway why did you reply to me with vague nonsense instead of a solid argument?

Silicon is the only area in which Apple still has some innovation left.

Better to have both iOS and Android and experience both sides, rather than asking for someone. They are not expensive, and can be easily purchased under 2000 dollars. If this feels expensive then try to get older models and once experienced...
