oh,cmon u folks, its an android for gods sake, so u can fill it with anything u want!!! phone call, sms, mms, skype, usb otg, anything u can say!!! all u need to do is root it and unlock its bootloaders!!! then nexus 7 is all yours to explore!!!! its not a restricted iCrap!!! stupid..!!!!

ordinary sim.. its just resizing the size.. can also use broad band sims..

John, 28 Nov 2012I'm very disapointed to know Nexus 7 cellular has no suppo... moreFor me it's much better that it does not support GSM (call, SMS, MMS)not to make the unit more expensive as these features, at least for me, is not really necessary as everybody has a mobile phone to use to call, send SMS, MMS (nobody will use 7" tablet as a phone).

AnonD-83535, 01 Dec 2012the cellular one......???The cellular model is not available yet in Saudi Arabia even with Jarir. What available in Jarir is the wifi version only. The cellular model (or 3G+wifi) is expected to be available in Saudi Arabia early next year.
