Asus introducing 2 new Zenfones on October 17

Yordan, 15 October 2018

The Taiwanese company Asus caught us off-guard last week with scheduling an event on October 17. A source suggested we might see a new iteration of the Zenfone Max Pro with a regular variant and a Lite version. Asus decided to lift the curtain a bit and announced on Twitter that it will indeed launch two new smartphones, with one of them being a global first.

Although the teaser does not reveal the name of the phone or any specs, we know both devices will be exclusively on Flipkart, following Asus' aggressive switch from offline to online retailers.

Both the Zenfone 5z with Snapdragon 845 and Zenfone Max Pro (M1) with a huge 5,000 mAh battery got a very positive feedback from users, so it would be nice to see a follow-up of any of these devices.

Asus promised there will be an online stream. Once we get a hold of it, will post it so you can tune in live on Wednesday to see what the company is about to pull out of its sleeve.

Oh sweet summer child, you don't review it after 4 months. For that amount of time, I'll better off reading a proper out of the box reviewer. After a year, you can begin to comment like the update, etc. You'll notice why it's so darn cheap

I currently own the original Zenfone Max Pro (M1) for about 4 months now and it has to be the best mid-ranger I have used so far... 2-day battery life, clean, stock and blazing fast UI, display on par with other offerings at the price, headphone jack...
