Each repairment took about 10 days. The last one took 30 days but they didn't fix it so I get my money back and bought LG G PAD 8.3 :) I am from Czech Republic.

I just hope the problem will not happen when the warranty is expired (touch wood >.-). How long it took for them to change the touch layer and display? Btw, I am from Malaysia, where are you from?

This is very interesting - every time I saw this problem I had sound on. I sent my device to the service center three times with this problem. First time they replaced touch layer, second time they replaced touch layer and display but problem persists. So i sent it again and I am waiting what they will replace now. I am very disapointed with this device :(

AnonD-241729, 07 Mar 2014Sometimes I have the same problem with sw keyboard and ther... moreI found a way to solve the problem, try turn off your sound and see the touch screen is functioning well, at least this works for mine. but playing games without sound is not enjoying at all :( Anyway, I plan to send to service center but due since the center is far away so I will cope with the problem for now. Let me know how it goes at your side.

saw, 08 Mar 2014can this memo pad use mobile internet data from sim card?I have a ZTE MF667 3G modem and internet data is working.
And the description is wrong up there , this device does have GPS (GPS+GLONASS) .

Does anyone else have a glitch with their screen? On my start screen my lock button acts weird, and the screen sometimes has a gray line on it that appears for a second. When streaming video and I slide the cursor to a part that hasn't loaded yet, it'll glitch like that.

It looks like it recognizes touches on places where I din't touch screen. Do you find solution for this? I have new memopad made on 01/2014. Factory reset fix this for few days but this problem returns...

also ... moreThe screen is Gorilla glass, so fairly scratch resistant.
The main review also said no GPS but this item in conjunction with a GPS app will lock in to the GPS or Glonass systems to provide you with excellent geopositioning.

Anyone here experience a screen problem (especially typing) in memo pad 8? For example: When you type DELETE (backspace), it will show .com and sometimes ENTER. I experienced this also when playing candy crush whereby you moving this candy but instead other candy is moving.

I bought mine from DirectD subang jaya rm525..U need to add rm30 for white color..
pro : works fine for 1gb game
con : bad picture quality using rear camera..
last time my N95 have better camera than this..
Best option for budget tablet!

Asus only brought in 8GB version (4.25GB usable).
Main issue is the device only recognise the internal memory as primary storage and DIDNT support any third party apps that can transfer apps to SD. SD card only can used for camera picture, movie, PDF files or music storage.
Power consumption relatively low compare to 10'tablet. GPU just soso but support most of the games. Antutu benchmark can go up to 19k which quite reasonable due to 4 cores 1.6GHz CPU.
189ppi is more than enough for normal use.
Highly recommended as a mid-end tablet.

To the guy who said his memo pad stopped working after 2 weeks: Hold the power button AND volume down, for a while, about 20 to 30 seconds. It will reboot the tablet.
That's it.
I have the Asus memo HD 7. My girlfriend the HD 8. Honestly, I am very happy with the machine. Movies, books, web browsing - all fine.
When I need more power, I switch on my i7 notebook.
The memo pad, for reading/movies in bed, and while traveling.

My friend bought this as a gift for his lil sis. B4 that i tried playing some games using this tab. I must say I was very disappointed with its gaming performance. Even when playing light games such as subway surfer, it was quite laggy. Anyone has gaming issues with this tab?

Hi,dear friends.You are free to buy whatever you like with your mony!I hate imposing opinions and using ugly words but I can,t close to that facts that I fought for it!I don,t know what is going on in the Asus as the third most important motherboard and software maker in the world!As a matter of facts and tests,Memo pad 8 is a low end tablet very below avarage in design,performance,features,cpu,the rest:NO,non-removable battery,but only good cameras!Nothing important to be mentioned about this low tablet!It,s lifetime if it works is 8 months!The company that made google nexus7-2o13 and notepad 6 can make better things with so much facilities at hands as it made google 2 masterpiece!It has only about 6 good devices among its 60 products up to know!As a self scientific free opinion,I don,t suggest buying this student workshop for school to anybody who cares about money and quality!Asus who made padphone one,two,mini,note6,and google7-2 outstanding can make the better and best but not disposable can!Moral Facts!

You should not assume the worst and go out and say you should have never bought that company because my iPhone broke and apple was being difficult, but now I am very splendid with my phone (still from apple) so bassicly in conclusion it's a problem no one else seems to have. And if it's a problem with the tablet then don't bash the entire company Asus is a fairly reputable company with good for the price quality
