AnonD-2616, 16 Aug 2012can we buy this mobile separatelyYes. The padfone station is an optional extra. But I suppose it also depends on what is available where you are. Some sell both, and some sell separately.

e, 09 Aug 2012what is the battery life on padfone, only phone in real? fo... moreBattery of just the phone it's hard to say because I always end up usinG it on the padstation in every battery cicle, but I would say definetly less than 24h with the following use: data/sync ON, lots email/text messages, a bit of web browsing. The phone gets a bit hot when in heavy use.

Steve, 14 Jul 2012This may be a stupid question/s 1. In laptop mode can I con... moreyes you can print with dedicated apps from manufacturers
2 or 3 usb ports and you can use usb stick of course
no dvd drive can be used as far as I know (drivers are not impleùmented for that in android)
and if u want to really replace your laptop better think twice for what u used your laptop, for instance you won't get MS office on android tablet, some suites but that can not handle all complex functions of ms office (some rumors are saying it's on its way...but not for the moment)

I have been using the padfone for one week now and I got to say it's better than I expected. The only thing I dont find so good is the backdoor of the padstation, it seems a little fragile. Everything else works just great and the padstation is not as bulky as it seems on the videos. It's agreat buy for people who are looking for a tablet and a smartphone because you get 2 devices cheaper plus the savings from the data plan etc. If you have any questions just ask

Anyone who have used this Padfone before can you please share your experience? I have been waiting for GSMArena to do a complete review but sadly, they are not interested in ASUS product. Would gladly appreciate it thanks.

have been using this fone for a few weeks now, apart from the sometimes faulty battery icons, the fone is very snappy! and i disagree that it's a midrange fone. the S4 working underneath ROCKS! and for the concept itself, yup, i agree that it is heavy but it's a very fine concept! i've seen a few Moto Atrix guys who tried a similar concept likes this. so for those naysayers, try it first b4 judging it, the concept provides flexibility, and it delivers! when u hv 2 gadgets, u must bring the both of them out everytime, with Padfone, u HAVE the option to only bring 1! that's flexibility!

I don't think this concept will catch on.

The phone it self is OK but defiantly not high end.

The tablet is WAY too thick.

When you can use HOTSPOT instead I would rather a better phone and something like the transformer prime.

Anonymous, 09 Jul 2012why everything for you is CHEAP??? do you have a SG3? Kindly read my post again. I did not said that everything is cheap. I said that in comparison of Asus and Samsung, the latter is the "cheap" company - Even though the Galaxy S3 is by no means a cheap phone at all.

I don't have an S3 though, nor plan to, since it's an expensive phone carrying features I'm likely not to use. The quad-core is cute, but too much power that not all applications are ready to use, wireless charging is moot for me, and there are S2 variants with the NFC chip so all in all the S2 is more than sufficient.
