Looking at this smartphone what i like and don't like
The mostly good
snapdragon 8 gen 1 plus most likely Silicon Lottery winner processor
but the lack of a built-in fan is a big draw back with the cooling system of this phone
The screen on the back i like the idea of a lot and would like see it improve it each year too
dual changing ports
headphone jack
bezels room too hold the phone clean 165hz oled screen
android 12
The ok
6000mah battory and 18gb ram are really cheap too make parts ( adding more don't cost much having more would be nice too have )
The bad
only 512gb poor storage is the drawback the big got yea
why handy cap such a good phone with such bad storage
It only has 512gb UFS 3.1 storage & no sd card slot
This a really expensive device and a flagship gaming phone in my option gaming phones should have more storage then any other smartphone because what they will be used for
we should really have 1TB UFS 3.1 storage
Also i think a SSD boot drive does belong on a smartphone like this
A 512gb SSD boot drive would not be out of place on a phone like this
Many pc games are coming too android many people will want too run emulators play many android games as well
This phone for some people will be there portable gaming pc
that can make phone calls
I can't stand not seeing tech reviewers not give feed back or talking about this problem
or complaining about the storage limitations
you don't even have 512gb storage some of it is used by your os and needs be left room for os updates also you can't full all the storage you have left either even after the last os update
it's a real pain when storage is full phone maxed out storage things will go wrong and the phone storage will be hard to manage the phone will also slow down and the storage will degrade too fast and uninstalling and instilling apps be a pain and as games app update they grow bigger so much too not like here

asu rug has massive 50mp main camera also has muti cameras it can do 8k or 4k
in a blind camera test there all equal

more compatible with games
better overall os
I think the asu ROG 6 might have better performance am not sure
we need someone too buy both and record fps in games vs each other
it be a close fight i think there might not be a clear winner they will likely trade blows
steam deck can only aaa game at 30fps 720p :(
has bugs does freeze and crash
joy stuck drift
poor battery life
arch linux is know for being user unfriendly :( i wish they ported games too android why no proton or wine for android :( or used sailfish os with android app support if they had too have linux
can't instill android x86 on steam deck
the os might get locked down like a console like how the ps3 lost other os :(

Got this yesterday. Man it's a monster. With the cooler I played genshin impact for 1 hour (with max setting) . I never seen fps drop below 55(x mode). Just awesome. Even phone temperature stacks at 36 to 37. I will try again with x mode plus. So impressed by Asus ROG 6 pro. It's million times better than ROG 5

A whole 18GB of RAM (even more than most top-end laptops) and only 512GB of ROM?! What the heck ?! Where is 1 TB of internal memory like in Galaxy S10 + Ceramic, iphone 13 pro max and Galaxy S22 Ultra?

I'm asking if this Asus made ROG phone has built in native support to read NTFS hdd without the need of 3rd party app like paragon.
