whats with the screen having less pixels than Galaxy A14?
And how does it have 4320p when the A14 has only 1080p?

IF your a hardcore gamer and have been using the previous versions of the ROG phone then a piece of advise, do not buy this phone as all the ROG 8 Phones have a manufacturing defect with the AIR TRIGGERS. ASUS has done nothing to solve the matter.
DO NOT BUY THE ROG 8 SERIES PHONES.

Did they test the speakers with the outdoor mode on? It makes one helluva difference, at least 10% louder than its maximum volume.

I had great expectations since the ROG Phone 7 is great, but this one is a dud. First, it is very fast and it has a 1TB storage option. That's where the good things end. Build quality is awful and it's common for the glass back to bulge out. The new AirTriggers are too inaccurate to use. Pocket mode doesn't work. Tap to wake can't be turned off. Phone call audio quality is terrible both ways and noise cancellation must be turned off because it's entirely broken. The white LED matrix isn't very configurable so I've found no uses for it that aren't annoying as hell. Bugs aren't getting fixed and now Asus is missing Android security patches. It's not the premium phone that matches its premium price.

Holepunch screen is total deal breaker for me
Shouldn't have blind spot on gaming phone
at least Nubia doesn't have this problem

Asus forgot how to hidden front camera, instead put at front display. not amaze overall.

Good phone, but a lot of bugs like previous versions. Rog phone 8 have issues with google wallet payments at pos terminals and manufacturer dont give a $hit about this.

No gaming phone with sd8gen3 can't beat my Iqoo 12 in thermal or camera and priced, but I'm interested in rog software that can bypass their owner who use joystick! Damn

There are plenty of alternatives without a headphone jack if your priority is the camera.
But if you want headphone jack, your options are very very very limited.

Mid range user perspective
I have been using it for some days, the 8 gen 3 is somehow not draining your battery too fast as compare to my older mediatek 8100. The screen is still very nice with 165hz refresh rate
The older 8 gen xx also warm, if not hot
The speaker is loud n clear
Punch hole? I can live with it since my previous phones are all with punch hole
And why I chose this ROG 8? Because it's the cheapest 8 gen 3 in here. Mi14 with smaller screen and iqoo 12 is $100 more expensive
Of course my perspective doesn't represent those who used gaming phone like the previous ROG7 or Red Magic with below the screen front camera. But it's comfortable to grab n grip and not too heavy
