rog 6 pro, 17 Sep 2025messed up how? I have the Rog 6 Pro, upgraded to 14 from 12... moreGood for you then. I hope you enjoy the phone cause it's a great device.

I don't own ROG 6 myself (still using ROG 5) but from what I read at the forum back then. Most people suffering camera problem after updating to A14. The problem persist even after changing the motherboard. Some managed to rollback to A13 to make it works again.

As for ROG 7, people suffering performance degrade, overheat, abnormal temp while idle (system temp reach 40C). They are really mad at the forum and I feel sorry for the mod because there's nothing they can do about it but they need to handle the rage from consumers.

I have the Rog 6 Pro, upgraded to 14 from 12 with no problems at all... even though Asus said they would only support up to Android 13, they somehow gave me 14 without any problems. The phone is still as rock solid as it was on day 1. Two day battery life at 6000mAH, 40 mins to full charge from zero, 18GB of RAM, 512GB hard drive, buttery smooth in all games, speakers with actual amplifiers, headphone jack, air triggers, no dumb wireless charging, and a good enough camera. I think maybe the ROG 6 was the last great gaming phone?

Not sure if the 7, 8 or 9 have problems though. Maybe?

Anonymous, 18 Aug 2025That's the thing, i think they only put 2 major androi... moreEven with only two major updates, they messed up with their A14 update which affect ROG 7 & ROG 6 but they refused to acknowledge it by saying "nothing is wrong" and "it's normal". While the users complaining about performance drop, the phone heats up more than before A14 update and other problems at Zentalk. Some of them finally rollback to A13 and the phone works normally as it should be while others might be just accept their fate.

I hope Asus doesn't make this kind of mistake again in the future.

MexicanReview5, 23 Apr 2025185Hz on a gaming phone? Incredible. I really like this pho... moreThat's the thing, i think they only put 2 major android upgrades is because it's a phone focused on gaming performance, which if too many major upgrades, that can be bad for the performance itself. If they can optimize the Android OS itself, then I think they can put it more than 4 major upgrades.

I also worry if they didn't put on long major android upgrades, and android put more security thing (like need strong integrity thing) after 3 years major upgrades, then it make this phone not worth again (Because I noticed that some games use that strong integrity thing, and make some players can't play it in their phone)

it is a good phone but it has an absolute short software like how only 2 years of software while being so expensive

with that price you can already buy a pc or a ps 5 since this is made for gaming

Hai, 05 Aug 2025While other flagships and gaming phones have 1,5K+ or 2K+, ... moreYou're probably using your PC with a 23–27" monitor at Full HD resolution. Even if it's 2K, a Full HD resolution on a 6.78" phone display still has 3–4 times more PPI. So why does it bother you that a 6.78" display has Full HD resolution? It's more than enough, efficient and better for performance. What's the point? You're just talking nonsense.

Is this phone still have major problem like series before? When input picture or open the camera, the phone Will closed and then restart. When restart sometimes very long and much repeated.

why are there still 2 major updates? whereas other products have at least 4 major updates..
