It's a nice phone, simple design and just straightforward, but the price isn't right, way too high. Also the software support isn't good enough. I hope the price will drop drastically after launch so it will be an option for me, or Asus should step up and give at least 4 Android upgrades and a minimum of 5 years of security patches. I'm more leaning towards Fairphone 5 or upcoming Nothing Phone 3a.

    i don't get the point of this phone. sure it has a headphone jack and that's much appreciated, but it only gets 2 years of updates.

    why not just get an xperia? yes it only has 2 years as well, but it has a headphone jack AND you can unlock the bootloader

        They did the same with 9 and 10, minimal to no hardware changes, feels like they just want to make sure people don't forget their existence until next great jump!

        Pretty much if you don't need a new phone, don't get it.
        Upgrading 11 to 12 adds no value.
        13 if don't get skipped to 14should be next great jump worthy of upgrade.

              Does it die after 2-3 years like zenfone 8 does? If so the 2 years update makes sense... Asus make expensive disposable devices

Phone with Android OS up to 5 years back support like 99% of apps and and even 10 years ago can support about 70% of Apps.

                        I got a question; is this available in the U.S or invalid cuz the AnTuTu score on this phone is massive

                          I'm sorry but 2 years of software updates on a flagship device that costs 1000€!? Is this a joke?

                          We're in 2025. I'm tired of manufactures abandoning perfectly working phones after 2 years, because what? It's not cost efficient to them? There should be at least 4 years of big upgrades and 6 years of security! The manufacturers that don't do this shouldn't exist .

                                Until this very moment, i'm still using the max pro m2 and still has the same performance as it's first day! 7 freakin' years! the battery was never been change! battery life is much longer than my Poco F6! and so is the camera! Please continue the Max Pro Series or just the mid range series (300 USD Max). the volume and power buttons are cooked though.

                                  Hope there will be regular variant (without Ultra) with compact size

                                    SD8 elite till Android 17 and after that no more updates for some reason. But there is some budget A series with outdated exynos processor thst will have updates till 2030 🤣 What a funny word we live in 🤣
