Although it would make the device bit pricey but I'm quite sure many x86-64 Android fans would happily pay little higher price.

Max, 23 May 2016What the heck? An ARM architecture Snapdragon processor!! ... moreI'm not really in-line with your preference to Intel processors (we saw the ZE551ML failed to produce great battery life in GSMA review's Battery Endurance Test, only 50-60 H ish score, very standard for a flagship. And the Lasers that come after it that powered by Snapdragons have their battery removable which is a plus, extending battery capacity to "unlimited" if you know what I mean).

But after hearing your idea, I too want to see ASUS try their hands similiar to your idea, re-evaluating Intel offerings, and hoperfully addresses battery issues.

TF201... Artwork design, perfect screen, great camera (yes I know for a tablet!) For those unaware of the Transformer Prime it launched back in 2011 with a quad core Tegra 3, 1GB ram, I pre-ordered it at gamestop.

My first Zenfone was a Zenfone 5 A500CG I gave to my mom plagued with connectivity issues, dual sim and GPS functionality was useless at best, phone came back from RMA twice and they never fixed the issues.

Then I made another mistake purchasing a Zenfone 2 Deluxe to replace my stolen Xperia Z3, the LCD screen started to "peel off" and split internally until it needed a replacement, the camera randomly stopped working and now it just stopped detecting any sim card, I sent it back to warranty and now I'm sitting holding my old and trustworthy Nokia 820 in my hands. Never ever dropped it, the Zenfone 2 was purchased in december.

Can't say I was lucky with Zenfones, I sure would love one on par with my old Asus tablet quality standards.

Come on Asus, please make up something to cheer up your frustrated customer.

Previous gen processor all has heating issue, unless a new revised version of processor is installed.
The latest Snapdragon 820 and 650, 652 will be cooler than previous gen processor.

ASUS has no choice, only can opt for Snapdragon or Mediatek.
Would see if the Zenfone 3 is equipped at least with Snapdragon 650, 652.

I just don't want Asus Zenfone to lose its unique identity in the market.
Right now Zenfone is the one and only x86-64 powered Android phone. At least they should make two different versions of this phone, one with a Snapdragon 820 processor and other with a Atom X7 processor.

You need to talk to the local person that understand cellphone and honest, so you can trust them. Or, other expat who live over there much longer than you.
Also depend on cellphone you want to buy (Locked or unlocked and which brand).
Just come to big and small cellphone retailer, WITHOUT BUYING. Ask question. Just listen what they suggest and remember the price.
After that you can narrow your choice and compare which one is what you need and within your budget.
Taipei is big city where most people understand english.

The most annoying things at ZF2: NO Lollipop update, a lot of bloatware, no light sensor.

Give us the new Intel Atom X7-Z8700 processor, it has 4K encoding and decoding capability and DirectX12 compatible Intel GPU, Crossover Win32-64 app player gonna release soon and it gonna run only on x86-64 powered Android devices. We don't need an ARM powered Android device. The presence of a x86-64 processor was the very reason we used to buy Zenfone.

Hi I'm an expat living in Taiwan. I have decided to buy the Zenphone 3 the day it becomes available.

The announcement will be May 30. Can anybody guess how long after the product will be released in Taiwan? I just wonder if the phone will become available to buy in Taipei on June 1, or June 10, etc. Hopefully not too long to wait.

Secondly.. where is a good place in Taipei to buy the phone when it first becomes available? I know about Guang Hua Digital Plaza. But is there a better place in Taipei that might get the phone to sell sooner? Thank you!
