ASUS ZenFone Zoom and ZenFone Selfie getting Marshmallow update

Prasad, 02 July, 2016

ASUS has finally started rolling out the Android Marshmallow update for the ZenFone Zoom and the ZenFone Selfie. The update obviously brings new Marshmallow features but also removes a bunch of bloatware from the devices and you can do a factory reset after updating to further remove the stuff that just the update won't remove.

You can check the update log for the ZenFone Zoom and ZenFone Selfie here and here, respectively. You can also download the full update here and here, respectively. Alternatively, you can wait for the OTA update to show up on your device. Our ZenFone Zoom unit still isn't showing the update but your mileage may vary.

The Zoom uses an Intel chipset too and it got updated. Asus is gonna leave original Zenfone 2 users twisting in the breeze or offer up a god awful, bug-ridden update and call it a day.
