Asus Zenfone Zoom with 13MP camera and 3x optical zoom drops to under $200 in US

Himanshu, 28 November 2016

The Asus Zenfone Zoom - which launched in the US back in February this year - has received a nice price cut. A couple of retailers - B&H Photo and Newegg - have the phone (GSM version) listed on their websites for just under $200.

That translates into a discount of nearly $200 given that the handset carried a launch price tag of $399 in the US. Amazon also has the phone listed for less than its launch price, but the discount it's offering is around $150.

The Zenfone Zoom - which is claimed to be the "thinnest phone with 3x optical zoom" - was announced way back at last year's CES. It finally went on sale in December 2015, with Taiwan becoming the first country where it was available for purchase.
