AT&T will sell the Microsoft Surface 3 with 4G starting on July 24
AT&T is about to become the first US carrier to offer Microsoft's Surface 3 to its customers. The tablet was announced by Microsoft in March, but so far it hasn't been available from a carrier.
That's all going to change on July 24, which is when AT&T will start selling it, in its 4G LTE-capable iteration.
To buy one, you shell out nothing upfront, then followed by 20 monthly payments of $30. That brings the total price up to $600.
If you buy a Lumia smartphone using AT&T's Next installment plans, you'll get the Surface 3 for $399.99, but this is a limited time offer and you will need to sign a two-year contract for the tablet.
The Surface 3 model sold by AT&T comes with 2GB of RAM and 64GB of storage, a 10.8-inch 1,920×1,280 touchscreen, a quad-core Intel Atom x7-Z8700 processor, an 8 MP rear camera, a 3.5 MP front-facing unit, a microSD slot, a full size USB 3.0 port, a mini DisplayPort, and a 7,485 mAh battery. It runs Windows 8.1.
