Beelink SER9 Pro mini-PC with AMD Ryzen 7 H 255 in for review
We got to play with a new miniPC in for review, folks. This is the Beelink SER9 Pro, and for around $600/€700, it comes equipped with a powerful processor, loads of RAM, two M.2 slots for storage expansion, two speakers, four microphones, and a lot of ports.
Beelink ships the SER9 Pro in a small box with the mini-PC itself, a chunky 120W power adapter, and an HDMI cable.
The SER9 Pro in a single configuration with AMD's 45W, 4nm Ryzen 7 H 255 and 32GB of soldered LPDDR5X RAM (4x8GB, 6400MT/s). The CPU has 8 cores and 16 threads and a peak clock speed of 4.9GHz. The SoC packs the Radeon 780M iGPU with 12 compute units, 768 shaders, and a clock speed of up to 2.6GHz. There's no built-in NPU, so AI tasks are handled by the CPU itself and aren't accelerated.
In typical Beelink fashion, you've got a great selection of ports. Upfront are the four microphones, two 10Gbps USB ports (one Type-C, one Type-A), and the 3.5mm audio jack. Around the back, there's the DC in for the power, one 40Gbps USB-C port, an HDMI (up to 4K at 240Hz), another 3.5mm audio port, one 10Gbps USB-A and two 480Mbps USB-A ports, a DisplayPort 1.4 (4K@240Hz), and a 2.5G LAN port.
In case you need more storage, an SD card reader, and a few more USB ports, there's the Mate SE dock, made specifically for the SER9 Pro mini-PC. It's an 80Gbps-capable dock that ships with two inch-perfect USB-C to USB-C cables.
The two USB cables are specifically made to accommodate the dock either on top or under the SER9 Pro mini-PC, depending on your preference.
The dock features a 300MB/s SD 4.0 card slot, two 10Gbps USB-A ports, a 2.5G LAN port, and two USB-C ports, with one dedicated for connection to the mini-PC.
Given that you lose two of the available USB-C ports to connect the Mate SE to the mini-PC, we can't say we're exactly happy with the number of Type-C ports left. You technically just have one 80Gbps USB-C on the dock, and one 10Gbps USB-C port on the mini-PC. In contrast, you get six USB-A ports in total. In 2025, we'd prefer more USB-C ports than USB-A ports.
Inside the dock are two PCIe 4.0 M.2 slots, which you can fill with up to 16TB of SSD storage, or 8TB per slot. The dock also features a fan for active cooling.
You can find the Beelink SER9 Pro on the maker's website, as well as on Amazon. In the US, as configured with the Ryzen 7 H 255, 32GB of RAM, a 1TB SSD, and Windows 11 Pro, the SER9 Pro costs $609 on Amazon.com and €699 on Amazon Germany. The Mate SE dock for the SER9 Pro is $169 in the US.
Stay tuned for additional tests in our review!

I am just learning about PC's. But to me? The soldered RAM is a deal breaker. I love Beelink's in that they are usually quiet for the power - which is important to me. If this had upgradable RAM, I would have bought it. Oh well.

Nobody complaining about the soldered RAM which hurts upgradability in the long run. Not surprising considering the average user of this website has been conditioned to accept devices locking everything up.

"€699 on Amazon Germany" You mean, 929, right? 699 option has a different CPU. But who needs proofreading in the age of AI, right? It's okay to hallucinate and/or make mistakes. Right?
