Good features, but the look is a backward from EF81 which is having a great two thumbs up look. I think they should considering to cancel this phone, since first thing what many people have in mind to buy a cell phone is the form of the phone then its features, it's the oppostite mind when they are considering to buy a PDA phone.
The ideal EF91 for me is the look of EF81, the features of this phone, a quadband (it's a business phone, right!?) plus stereo FM Radio, not to mention upgradable software ;)
Cheers,
Malique

This phone has great features and a closer look tells me that it doesn't look that bad. In fact it looks better than most clam-shell phones.
Can anybody tell me wether this phone will also will be released in Europe (Holland to be precise). Further my compliments to gsm-arena for your great site! Ruud

Many countries are full of areas that have EDGE coverage but no 3G. Omitting EDGE is a major flaw.

I think this phone is great with a simple and contempory design and the many features it boasts. I can't wait until it comes out SIM free in UK stores and i am sure to purchase this awesome handset. Despite the weaker 1.2 version of bluetooth i think BenQ - Siemens hve done a smooth job on this phone.

you cannot compare this to sharp 903 because i think they are not on the same category. we can't say this is a copy of this or that just because of the 3.2 mp camera. hsdpa is really a good technology and i'm looking forward to own an hsdpa phone as well. if i'll be looking for the camera quality i'll go with 903. its cam is great and a lot of phone experts admit that. k800 can compare probably because of its excellent flash. the downside only is it doesn't have optical zoom. it basically depends on your preference. on the other hand if you really do mobile browsing a lot then id say you go for this ef91 cuz hsdpa is extremely fast.

High-Speed Downlink Packet Access (HSDPA) is a new mobile telephony protocol and is sometimes referred to as a 3.5G technology. In this respect it extends WCDMA in the same way that EV-DO extends CDMA2000. HSDPA provides a smooth evolutionary path for Universal Mobile Telecommunications System (UMTS) networks allowing for higher data capacity (up to 14.4 Mbit/s in the downlink). It is an evolution of the W-CDMA standard, designed to increase the available data rate by a factor of 5 or more. HSDPA defines a new W-CDMA channel, the high-speed downlink shared channel (HS-DSCH) that operates in a different way from existing W-CDMA channels, but is only used for downlink communication to the mobile.

i hope that this Smart and Globe telecom in philippines supports OTA download of 3G for this phone, it has really amazing HSDPA with an amazing 3.2mp camera too... now i recognized another stunning technology from Benq aside from samsung and sony corporations,
for those saying this phone is ugly,
is it really ugly? NO! you just cant appreciate other mobile phones unique appearances,,,

Does anyone know where I can find a user guide for the Benq-Siemens EF91?
Also, can you use the vga camera (for video calling) only for video call or can you take pictures with it as well?
Thanks in advance!!!

@EEEoP
This phone dosn't have that German touch coz its a BenQ design. After the merger they came up with all these models which were already in advanced development stage.There are visble differences.
