Bezels not welcome: Xiaomi Mi Note 2 coming October 25

Peter, 17 October 2016

We’ve seen two separate sets of spy shots of the Xiaomi Mi Note 2 and they were framed in a way that focused on the curved screen. A new batch shows the true killer feature - the bezel-less design. You can almost see it in the previous shots, but this one makes it clear - there’s only an almost non-existent border around the top and sides of the big 5.7” screen.

Rumors should always be taken with a pinch of salt, but you only need enough salt to last you until October 25. Xiaomi took to its official Weibo account to post a teaser image that reveals the date and nothing more.

Luckily, we have the rumor mill to fill in the blanks. There seems to be a two-way split in specs - one version will have a 5.7” 1080p screen, 4GB of RAM plus 64GB storage, while the other will go up to a QHD screen and 6GB RAM + 128GB storage (or even 256GB). Both versions should share in a dual 16MP camera, Snapdragon 821 chipset and a 4,000mAh battery somehow stuffed into a body only 6.5mm thick. Good luck, Xiaomi, we will be watching.

Like slapping extra internal storage and RAM then release it 3 months later, not together? That's what I have been bringing up. Same phone (re)launching? And I do realise the 3S'es are not successors, they are just minor changes, versions, or it...

Aquos Sharp Xx ratio is 77.7%. Very very thin bezel imcluding the bottom bezel. A 100% ratio would be weird. Where the front cam would be and sensors? This is the best they can do.
